The coffee was excellent and the service was super friendly! What more can I say? We got there 5 minutes before closing time, but they were still accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!

After living in Monty for more than 30 years, we can confidently say that this cafe is our favorite spot to visit. The staff always welcome us with a smile and the coffee is consistently excellent. The breakfast and lunch options are also top-notch, with my personal favorite being the Tex Mex breakfast. Whether you're meeting up with family or friends for a casual coffee or a full meal, this cafe is the perfect spot. Enjoy!

On my first morning in Melbourne I went to eat at this local cafe. Other cafes on the same street are more popular and whilst there are rumours of faults in the customer service being the reason why it is not the most popular on the street, I saw no evidence of this during my four visits and suspect that the location at the bottom of Were Street was more likely to be the reason; it is a bit further to walk.The staff were always friendly and in fact started to recognise me by the end of our stay, which I loved. They smiled through, regardless of the complexity of any coffee offer they always got it "spot on". I always prefer multi-grain bread and one on occasion they made an error and gave me white bread, I was given an apology and it was corrected without question. my poached eggs had been re-cooked so that they were hot; perfect.Across Melbourne you can buy an avocado smash; avocado with feta cheese on toast, often sold with the option of a poached egg on it. This is a great dish and I will miss it, now that I am back in Blighty!

We ate here last week for a lunch, we order serve of pancakes and eggs on toast. The banana pancakes were tasty but presentation could have been better..long cut slices of banana (less cooked) on top would make dish more presentable, with pancakes on a flat plate rather than bowl ...quite difficult to eat. Eggs were plentiful but mind the overuse of butter tasted too much like butter, but managed to get through half of serving, and my folks finished most of the pancakes. Will return to try your egg bacon roll and scones.
