Oriental Jade Restaurant - Banyule

To eat in here it is a very basic restaurant????the food is tasty so we tend to get it delivered to home ????the delivery driver was pleasant and it didn't take long for the delivery to come ????

Whilst the restaurant was clean, friendly and comfortable, the menu was limited and showed no imagination which, in modern days with high competition between eateries we have come to expect. Dishes were tasty, served quickly and were of adequate size but did not excite my palate as much as I would like to expect. As I said, staff were friendly and prepared to modify dishes to our suggestions but overall this Restaurant failed to make me want to go there again and again.

We went for the smaller of the banquets. The four of us decided that in the past we have always over eaten at these types of eateries. Good decision. All the meals were of a very acceptable quality and were not greasy nor did we feel that any of the food has MSG. The hostess has a great sense of humour and enjoys a good banter. Made our night very enjoyable. Fresh and tasty food.

Good things first the entrée eggplant and prawn was lovely. spring rolls also good. Now for the rest. fried was average tasted a couple of days old even though was Friday. The main was cashew chicken better called carrots with chicken thigh. was truly awful we didn't even finish or give rest to dog. very disappointed. hard to find decent Chinese in our area. This is off the list.

The decor is very basic and the place crowded but the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. They also offer take away if the atmosphere is not to your liking.
