Jack Russell's Steak House Brewery

Finding a great place to eat while on vacation can be a challenge, especially with three children in tow. Fortunately, our hotel was conveniently located right across from Jack Russell's. After looking over the menu, we opted for Chicken Parmigiano, Teriyaki Steak Tips, Scallops, and Maine Fresh Cut Fries. The food was simply amazing! The chicken was perfectly cooked with a deliciously crispy exterior, the scallops melted in your mouth, and the fries were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it off, we enjoyed a complimentary dessert – a warm brownie with gooey chocolate bits that took our experience to a whole new level of deliciousness. I also appreciated the user-friendly online ordering system, which made the process a breeze. If you’re in the area, whether you're a visitor or a local, I highly recommend stopping by Jack Russell's. You won’t be disappointed!

The house-brewed beer was excellent as well—I tried all four varieties. The blueberry beer was light and refreshing, while the fall and brown ales were both rich and flavorful. The pale ale was decent, but I'm not particularly fond of hoppy beers. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Jack Russell and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mt. Desert Island. Oh, and I just had to stop by for another blueberry beer the very next day!

My aunt suggested that we try this restaurant for the lobster, and we were not let down! My mother and I started with the crab cake appetizer, followed by the lobster, and both were outstanding! This was by far the best crab cake I’ve ever tasted, and it was an excellent introduction to lobster. Our waiter was fantastic; he even provided us with a list of places to explore on the island and showed us how to crack open the lobster!

Friendly and attentive staff. Welcomes as soon as we came in, Filet was amazing and Krabbe had filleddock just as good!!! Some great people from Philadelphia. So it happened that Boston and Philadelphia were on TV. Celtics won! Watch the Kentucky Derby and enjoyed some mint juleps. Would definitely recommend!!!

We stoppped in after a day of hiking at Acadia National Park. The staff was very friendly. The server was very busy, but was quick with our drinks and taking our order. The food was fabulous. Steaks were cooked as we requested. Portions were large. Beer was delicious. The desert was outstanding. Overall, great dining experience!!!
