The beds were very comfortable and the living and kitchen area in the cottage #12 had plenty of space for our group. Cottage #6 was very cozy (not much room to go, but that's okay), with a queen size bed, 2 chairs, a kitchenette and a small bathroom with an even smaller shower. My husband and I loved it absolutely! Cottage #12 is the widest from the road and saw brand new on the inside. It has 2 bedrooms that could have slept comfortably, plus space for my granddaughter a game. As already mentioned, there were many furniture and rooms for all 6 of us adults to watch the Olympics, play board games and eat together. A huge bonus is the laundry sheds (as much more beautiful and cute than what you think) that use a washing machine and dryer, guests can use for $2.50 per charge. We all loved the stay in Rose Eden and would definitely return when we are back in the area.
I wasn't in Acadia in 35 years and wanted my son to experience the cabin holidays I had during growing up. Rose Eden was exactly that. The cottages and plots were very clean and designed with the pride that comes from a family business. The staff was very friendly. There was a small place to get seafood right next door. There was a common fire pit and picnic table we enjoyed. I was a little worried about street noise with the huts right in front of Rt 3, but that was never a problem. The cottages were cozy, but well equipped with everything we needed. We had a fantastic trip to Acadia – thanks!
My husband and I were in Rose Eden cottages for 5 wonderful nights. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. The location is ideal for frequent visits to Acadia National Park and fabulous Bar Harbor. Our hosts Yvonne and David were extremely helpful and offer excellent services. We will definitely be back with our two daughters.
My partner and I were the Eden Rose in July and found it so beautiful, picturesquely charming. We were in the cabin 10 it was both cozy and cute - also set further back from the road, so more privacy / further from the main road than the lower numbered cabins. We loved to play with our pup in the communal green areas, go to dinner in the amazing local vineyard/restaurant and our tired bodies in the comfortable bed after long hikes Acadia. Great value, would definitely return!
I LOVED staying here with my parents. We had a family cottage and it worked out perfectly! The rooms connect from inside with the ability to lock of course which allowed each of us our privacy while still enjoying vacation together. It's super easy to hop on the island explorer to go in to the park or town. It was close enough to get to everything easily with the added bonus of being in walking distance to Bar Harbor Winery and only a few miles from Atlantic Brewing Company. Would definitely recommend this and will definitely stay here again if I make it back to Maine.
