Salt Steel - Bar Harbor

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. Despite the menu's smaller portions, it provided plenty of delicious food for two people to share. The cocktails were fantastic, and the outdoor seating area was very relaxing. The waitress was attentive and answered all of our questions. Our favorite dishes were the hake ragu, summer corn risotto, and burrata. Yum!

I would give this restaurant four stars. It's hard to find upscale dining options in Bar Harbor, but Salt and Steel offers a good chance. If this restaurant were in the city, I would rate it lower. I found the menu to be somewhat limited and not very innovative. Two out of my three dishes were excellent. I opted for the tasting menu, which featured smaller portions that were well-balanced. The service was satisfactory, but it seemed like the staff were mostly seasonal workers.

This beautiful restaurant requires a reservation to secure a table. Some dishes may be missed due to the changing menu. The prices are a bit high, but the presentation is good. The dining room is also quite nice. After the first round of appetizers, the room darkens (transitioning to a bar style), making it challenging to take good photos of the food. The atmosphere gives off a high-end vibe, but the food itself does not quite meet that level in terms of taste and preparation. It is a nice spot for special occasions like celebrations or anniversaries. Some dishes may leave you wanting more; it may be better to opt for dishes like a lobster roll from another restaurant. Overall, a nice spot for a special occasion, but be prepared for some limitations.

Service environment is great! Bread, Bisque, Octopus are excellent!! Kale Salat is a bit too bitter. Maybe the delicate soft baby ball could be better. Lobster Bolognese is a bit too salty for me. Overall, it is a great experience to eat there! Better get a reservation!

Very nice restaurant. Food was excellent. My code was very good. Only one complaint was that it was hotter. It was warm, but very tasty. My wife? Moroccan chicken pasta dish was unique and very good I had a four roses bourbon martini that had a smokey aroma. It was a little sweet for my taste. Service and waitress were excellent We sat in the dining room I recommend. Deck is a bit too rustic for this type of menu. Bar looked good for lunch, but a bit cramped. The dining room was very nice. They press their 4 course tasting menu. We went beyond and remained fundamental
