On our arrival by car in Zahara, we gravitated towards the beach and were lucky to get a car park, although it was one of the last slots available. Cerro Currita is between the car park and the beach, and we were shown to a table (also the last available our lucky day) on the raised platform on the dune overlooking the beach. What a perfect spot for our first lunch in Zahara de los Atunes. Our party of three ordered a selection of tapas, wine by the glass and beer. The staff were busy so the drinks were a while coming the only minor niggle in a very relaxed and pleasant afternoon. All the food was well cooked and tasty. On our travels in Andalcuia we found many wonderful and reasonably priced tapas restaurants like this. What sets Cerro Currita apart is the wonderful location by the beach. A memorable lunch.
This is a must visit restaurant when in Zahara. We liked it so much we had lunch and dinner here three times during our one week stay. Food was delicious, service was warm and friendly and the setting was magnificent, a genuine old style beach restaurant with the sand rippling right up to our table. Try the locally caught fish for a real treat. As if all this is not enough you also get to watch the sunset from your table. Just try it, you will not be disappointed.
