La Xarxa - Barcelona

Barcelona is always a busy spot and this place has quite an appeal. Friendly response at the reservation, friendly welcome at arrival, friendly advice for the menu. Good food, great location if you look for understated originality. The bill was no surprise, special mention for the service.

For those of you who ever find yourselves in my neck of the woods, I highly recommend a restaurant on Plaça Molina called La Xarxa. Quite apart from the fact that the staff is warm, attentive, and friendly and everything I tasted today was delicious, I have to point out their Steak Tartar which is one of the best I have ever had. Factor in fifty Euros per head if you are not going overboard but very much worth it.

A lovely selection of traditional and fusion tapas the vegetables with oyster sauce, the mussels, the Catalan bread and the seafood croqueta were all wonderful, plus friendly service and reasonable prices if you’re at casa Vicenza you’re minutes away from this lovely spot

Came highly recommended by a number of different blogs and articles. Lunch outside was OK but a little underwhelming vs the hype. Food arrived very very fast felt like it was pre cooked. Rather heavy use of mayonnaise which we didn’t feel added to some of the dishes eg Tuna tartare. Very friendly staff.

Outstanding food, classy interior, excellent service. A stellar choice for a taste of true catalan abuela cooking done elegantly. The wine selection is also impressive. Good value for this quality.
