Thanks to Postino, I'm obsessed with bruschetta flights! I'm determined to have one every time I'm in Arizona.__My flight in order of favorites_1.
We found insects in the noodles soup and when we tell them they said they don't come from them... amazing!!!
Arriving into Barcelona on a late flight from the UK, I was starving after checking into my hotel. Diagonal Mar seemed like the perfect choice to go in search of something to cure the hunger pangs building up in my stomach. My first instinct, never having visited Barcelona before, was to take a wander around the eateries to see which took my fancy. There are many food places to choose from in the shopping centre, too many to choose from really, especially when you aren't able to read the menu. Then I stumbled upon Wok Street. I felt confident that I knew exactly what I would receive and was greatly encouraged by the queue that had formed waiting for the freshly made offering. If in doubt, search out the longest queue as that is sure to indicate a locals favourite. I still had a slight problem in translation and had to resort to pointing to produce and hoping for the best. I must have got it wrong slightly as the charge for the meal I requested ended up being a couple of euro more than advertised, however I was just relieved to have made myself understood and waited for the chef to freshly cook my fare. When the food arrived it was delicious, freshly prepared and cooked in front of me. I was delighted with my choice and would definitely return if I am in the area again.
Needed a light lunch as was out for the day on vacation in Barcelona and ended up in this particular shopping centre; Wok Street was one of many places to eat and I did not think twice about having lunch at this outlet especially after seeing the noodles being cooked right in front of you in those big woks and those fiery orange flames coming from the stoves. I had noodles with fresh vegetables (without egg) with sweet chilli sauce in those rectangular cartons. Of course I added a bit of soy sauce for extra flavour. The food was very hot and flavoursome and the portion size was generous. Struggled a lot to eat the noodles with a fork, perhaps should have used the chopsticks. I really enjoyed this light lunch and would not hesitate about going to Wok Street again perhaps in London!!
