Chez Louisette - Barèges

Amazing location and eating! the second time we were here was the first in the middle of the winter. this restaurant has really incredible prospects and eating is also excellent.

These lovely restaurants hidden away in the woods and on the slopes of the Pyrenees are over-flowing with rustic charm, but you don't realize it bcause ... you're charmed ! They are usually difficult to locate, and you might become discouraged as you drive to...Chez Louisette. But it's really quite easy: Make your reservation a day or two in advance. Head east on D918 out of Bareges heading up the Bastan. Go 2 km (1.3 miles) and you'll see the Chez Louisette sign telling you to turn to the right onto a small road. It's a really hard right. Follow that road. You'll come to an inexplicable widening then immediate narrowing ... keep going. Soon you'll see the restaurant, and once inside you'll be greated most warmly and treated to an excellent meal of montagnard cuisine. We had the garbure, of course, and it was everything a garbure should be ... we had the lamb, wonderful. The service was relaxed and friendly, no rush, never any rush. This was the third time in as many years that I've eaten at Chez Louisette, and alawys as I exit the restaurant and walk into the night chill, I am as contented as can be.

We went there during Autumn, during lunch time. Really nice place, ambience. Good local food for the soup and goat. the Pork a little bit to dry. We think the menu a little bit over charge for Auberge food. we have better food in our...hotel in Bareges town.

Au bout d'une petite route d'accès au plateau l'auberge du Lienz est un vrai bonheur.acceuil chaleureux,une salle agréable et une terrasse avec vue.la carte est courte ,c'est simple naturel et bien préparé en mode cuisine de terroir .les prix sont tenus avec un menu à 27 euros et des formules moins chères.a découvrir après une randonnée ou pour une évasion au bord de la forêt.
