Lay's Loft - Barmstedt

The place is very charming . on the ground floor there are dining room for fine food and also a place they called a bistro. but above is where private dinning comes. we had the room for two. There is a room for 4 and one for 12. old fashioed and antique toys cars and billiard table. we had the tasting dinner that is from this world. my husband, who doesn't care about lamb, thought it was good and tasted like steak. Service was great and owner plus cook came to say hello. he spoke perfectly English and everything went well, the only dish I didn't like was the Ricotta racioli and my husband liked the duck godfather I liked. Dessert was different for u and it was absolutely brilliant. we will be back. we like the atmosphere and the service. the restaurant also has a place for wedding, which is beautiful. a small bottle of wine was 2 €

It's not a restaurant, it's an experience. the old candle factory was carefully restored and very eclectic. the old cars of the owner complement the atmosphere. the food was good, the staff friendly. very good for your private functions as they have many private dining rooms with different sizes!

We were at Lay's Loft for our annual company Cristmas Party. The building is a former factory and has its own charm. You will find a mix of old and new, combined in a very special style. The food was excellent, we were served a four course menu, starting with poached salmon. Unfortunately the waiters did not serve with the fish that really was missing. Secondly, a parmesan soup was followed by a wonderful piece of roast beef. The dinner ended with a kind of cake that was delicious and beautifully decorated. Thanks to the kitchen staff. The service was somewhat slow and unstoppable. Therefore only 4 points.
