Had a lovely room upstairs overlooking the garden, breakfast every morning and dinner every night. Although the building is old it has been tastefully renovated and provides all the modern conveniences necessary. Although only 10 minutes from the restaurants of Honfleur we choose to eat in the restaurant every night and weren' disappointed. The menu changes every day so there is always something different to try. The wine list offers a good selection, although some of our choices were not available. Staff were very pleasant and helpful both in the hotel and the restaurant. Car park is large and free of charge. A great location to visit the coastal villages of Normandy, Bayeux, Camembert and surrounding villages.
Delicious food- well worth the 39Euros per person. Small and intimate- best for couples! There's one seating per evening and the dining room is very small so book early. Be aware they only serve wine by the bottle. Dinner is usually 4 courses plus an amuse bouche.
Wonderful place with fresh food. Very reasonable price for a luxury service. I highly recommended. Thank you Trip Advisor for recommending this place.I just want to mention that it is not very easy to reach without GPS cause it is located deep in the forest.
Fantastic meal with a delightful staff. We stayed here for 3 nights and had absolutely amazing meals during our visit. The dinner was wonderful. Very small and quaint!
We arrived promptly for our 7:30 reservation and were told that they were not ready to serve so we were taken to another room to have a glass of wine. Another 7:30 couple arrived next and we began talking because they were from the states. No one came to seat us so finally at 8:30 the other guest checked and they took us in. Were they waiting for us to tell them we were ready to eat? I was ready at 7:30. The menu was pre-fixe and cost $39e with supplements. I asked the waiter to describe the menu because we do not read French. He proceeded to say 'fish, sole, chicken, pork, and for dessert 'strawberry.' Maybe I should learn French but everyone in the dining room spoke English and we were the only guests not staying at the hotel. I ordered the sole for a 10e supplement and it was pan fried in butter with thinly sliced, unseasoned vegetables. The sole was not tender or juicy. My wife had chicken which was baked with some kind of gravy. Nothing to write home about. The 'strawberry' dessert was strawberries with sherbert. Normally I include pictures with my reviews but there was nothing worth taking a picture of.
