Henshall Street Fisheries - Barnsley

I use henshalls quite often as I literally live round the corner. I must say it's one of the best chip shops iv been to. Large portions and very tasty food. I agree with previous reviews that there can be a wait but that's down to one thing only n that's the food being fresh I'd also like to add that the owner Alan is also a lovely bloke, always makes conversation and makes to feel welcome. (He also has the patience to deal with my 3 year old who tries destroying his shop haha).

I drive past this chip shop every day and never called in. However today I did. The service is friendly and welcoming, and like a few say a wait for the food but it is fresh so worth the wait. I asked for two portions of chips, however on seeing how many chips one portion was I changed my mind to one. I shall be back.

Delicious food, waited a while but that was purely down to the fish been freshly cooked and not sat going soggy in batter which was worth the wait! Staff are lovely and polite too :
