I ordered a poached egg for £1.25, a small size rasher of bacon for £1.25, a grilled tomato for 95p (which was very small), and a supposed "flat mushroom" for 95p (which turned out to be a small squashed mushroom). Despite the lovely staff and nice new cafe atmosphere, I felt like I was overcharged for a pitiful breakfast. I ended up spending £7-£8 for coffee and very little food. Overall, I was not happy with my experience today.
The cafe is very contemporary and has a wide variety of food options to choose from. We will definitely return when we are in Barnsley next.
The café had a stylish and impressive appearance, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect. I would prefer to go to Morrisons instead, as they offer a more diverse menu and accommodate various dietary restrictions and allergies.
Really nice relaxing place to have a coffee or tea. Good food always present staff. Doesn't feel like a regular supermarket cafe.
A supermarket cafe this is not! Fab food. Good coffee. Table service. Reasonable prices. Only criticism is watching staff eat their meals in there. Will return.
