My husband and I visited this place after going to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which is less than 10 minutes away. My husband got very tasty onion bahji for starters (the other option was a soup . For mains we had a vegetable pie which came with thick chips, gravy and minted mushy peas (only £7! What a steal! and a casserole which including very tasty dumplings. Other options we could have gone for include katsu curry or jackfruit burger. There was a choice of vegan brownie or sticky toffee pudding as well but we were too full by that point. Lovely service as well definitely planning to return!
Came here with the family because of the options for all. Excellent nut roast type meal with plenty of food. Very tasty and filling. Lots of options on normal menu. Dessert menu didn’t list vegan options but ask because there were two options. Live music in the garden as well.
The atmosphere, building, surrounding gardens make for a really pleasant experience. The staff were really friendly and professional but the service was so slow! I had the Southern mockin chicken which was very tasty. There were not as many vegan options as I thought due to other reviews but still a nice selection. I’d budget again.
Came here attracted by the fish and chips. The chips were good; chunky with skins and there was a vegan coleslaw which was also tasty but the fish was a heavy, meaty mix of seitan and bean with no nori or seasoning. It was battered and had the look of a chippy fish but I had to hack through it. Traditiona tofu and nori mix in batter would have worked a lot better. I also wasn 't really feeling the vibe of the place. It was busy for a bank holiday but it felt all a bit crammed in table-wise. I 'd not count out going back as there were other options on their separate vegan and veggie menu (including a nice sounding curry) and the place is within easy reach of the free-entry Yorkshire Sculpture Park which I 'd like to revisit.
