Unfortunately, it looks like this place has lost its standards with the change in ownership. A reservation was made a few weeks in advance and then confirmed the week before. We turned up to be informed that the table we had booked was not available as whoever had done it had not 'locked out ' the table. However, after a while and discussions between us and the management, we were allowed to sit as we wished. Everyone apart from 1 ordered tapas which was good. The steak and chips meal which was ordered we had to chase up to be told the chef had not been informed that it was a main meal ! It was meant to be a birthday celebration with members of the family travelling from London so you will expect that it 's dampened the evening.

We had an amazing experience with Georgina at the Royal for my hen party. Georgina provided excellent service, displaying exceptional politeness and staying on top of our demands, even with a staff shortage. It was the perfect way to celebrate – highly recommended! This fantastic local pub offers delicious food, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere. Price range per person: £10–£20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dishes include the Ribeye Steak and Chips. There's plenty of parking available, with free parking lots nearby.
