And the fact that housekeeping and maintenance don’t see these issues and fix them is something I can’t understand. Service overall was lacking, too. Do people just not care anymore? I guess finding good help in Louisiana is hard, because all my hotels this week were questionable. Shame.
The room was beautiful and spacious. The area was surprisingly quiet being that it was near the interstate. The rooms were very clean . The staff were amazing! They went above and beyond to ensure me and my fiancé were taken care of during our stay.
I made a reservation using points for my wife and daughter. Last night my wife was checking in and the receptionist said she owed $244, the room eats on the app we only $107 per night and I used points anyways. Seemed really sketchy and she couldn't tell us what the charge was for, she said she saw we paid with points but wouldn't tell us what the charge was. I called the Hilton Diamond Desk and they said it makes no sense why we would have to pay anything, they called the hotel and suddenly the lady said there is no charge. I think she was trying to hustle my wife
We recently spent the night at this hotel. Reception staff were nice. No computer available like many hotels these days. Big problem was the size of the room. The king size bed took up so much room it was difficult for both my wife and I. Overall the room was small. Refrigerator kept things cool but not very cold. Over-priced breakfast buffet was not appealing.
After we checked in we noticed that one of the tv's did not work. I informed the front desk and they sent so called maintenance to fix this issue. After two different workers were in and out and in and out of the room for at least an hour one of the workers told us that we would have to wait until the morning to get this problem solved. I promptly told him that we need to change rooms. So at 10 pm we moved all of our things from one room to another room. After moving our things I went down stairs and talked to a front desk worker and asked could they comp us a breakfast for the inconvenience. She told me I would have to wait until the morning and talk to a manager. I stood there for about 15 seconds took deep breaths and remembered that I have 24 year old daughter and walked away. How often do you check people into rooms that have tv's that don't work? The only reason I stayed is because I am with the wife. This is an overpriced hotel that also expects you to pay another 18.99 plus tax per person for breakfast. I most definitely will not be returning and definitely won't be spending another dime at this hotel. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Absolutely Horrible!
