Boon Burger Cafe - Barrie

The buffalo sandwich at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, served with crispy potato fries or a salad. It is flavorful and easy to eat, plus it won't leave you feeling bloated since it's vegan. Highly recommended. The staff is friendly and professional, and there is a lovely bench near the window.

Nice staff to eat as you wait. Good selection of options. Only what I avoid are the frits that are soggy and undercooked for some reason. Burger, Pizza, Salate, philly cheeze steaks all excellent.

There are so many choices! I have never been to a vegan restaurant that offers such a wide variety of delicious options on their menu...even milkshakes! The milkshakes were fantastic and the food did not disappoint.

I will never go back to this restaurant again! It's not worth your time or money. I pre-ordered holiday meals, a charcuterie tray, and other items totaling almost $200. I did not receive a confirmation with the total, so I called and was told it would be ready for pickup anytime during their business hours. When I arrived to pick it up, I ended up waiting over an hour! It was ridiculous. If my family wasn't already waiting for the meal, I would have asked for a refund and left. They tried to make up for it by offering free desserts, but the lack of explanation for the long wait was disappointing. The only decent part of the meal was the charcuterie tray; the rest was cold and either bland or overly garlicky. Poor communication, awful customer service, and subpar food. Don't waste your time or money here.

Just don’t go. This is NOT a 4.5/5 star restaurant. We were excited to find a vegan restaurant in Barrie but our experience was VERY POOR. We ordered by phone and were told the wait would be 30 minutes which we didn’t mind. We went...into the restaurant after 30 minutes and waited another 20 minutes. The decor isn’t great, the staff seemed to have no real urgency with their preparation and there were very few people in the place. We had only ordered four sandwiches and two servings of fries from the online menu which was not the same menu as the one stuck to their window. Finally the food arrived. We paid $55 which we thought was exorbitant. The classic cubana was good but the banh mi was a huge amount of thick bread and not tasty. The fries were soggy, luke-warm and below average. The woman serving made lots of excuses for the long wait and offered us some of their baking but we didn’t want it after what we had just eaten. We won’t be going back and I’d encourage you to look elsewhere for meals.
