Captain George's Fish Chips - Barrie

Was not feeling well for 2 3 days after eating their fish !!!!!

The fish was excellent, but the waitress appeared to be unhappy throughout our visit.

I've attempted to place a pick-up order three times, but every time I call after 7 PM, the young girl who answers insists that they're already closed, even though they advertise closing at 7:30. Typically, if your hours extend to 7:30, you should be accepting orders until that time. After three failed attempts, I'm done. Additionally, her attitude has been quite rude; it seems like she just wants to leave for the day.

I placed a phone order for pickup in 10 minutes and arrived to find that I only had to wait an additional 5 minutes. The food was piping hot and freshly prepared. There were plenty of condiments and gravy included. Everything was delicious, just as it always is. Both the fries and haddock were cooked to perfection.

Captain George’s is our go to fish and chips place. They’re always super friendly, our order is always ready exactly when we asked to pick it up, prices are fair, and the food is always hot and delicious. Definitely recommend!
