Moxie's Grill & Bar - Barrie

Was seated and served ok, ordered a disappointing Cob Salad, which was a slab cut off a head on lettuce with stuff piled on top an 2 small pieces of bacon. Honestly if you don't know how to make a cob salad, don't serve it. Typical chain restaurant junk food !

PoorService The waitress was slow, did not take our drinks order until after the appetizers came.Did not even want to take the order for the appetizer. Was slow in taking the meal order. Did not bring the drinks for the kids, since a drink came with the kids Menu. We were celebrating my granddaughter's first communion and a few of us were from the Toronto area. I have been to other Moxie's before and have gotten good service. This was Terrible.. The food looked better than it taste. The bathrooms looked lovely like all Moxie's but two of the toilets were dirty and needed attention. The location was attached to a mall , lacked its own parking. Very disappointing.

Made reservations and were seated instantly. Our server Georgia was nice and friendly. I had the tiny tuna tacos and fries and my husband had the beef dip. Both were delicious. Liked that the tables weren't all squished together like some other establishments.

We stopped by Moxie's after some shopping and had a very good lunch. My wife enjoyed the morocan vegetable soup with truffle fries on the side. I really enjoyed the blackened chicken burger..it was just spicy enough and so much flavor..yum...Since it was international beer day, I just had to have a Moxie's Amber Ale...wife had the house-made hard lemonade..always a good meal at Moxie's...and great service from Katie!

Limited seating on the patio suited me fine. I had a taste for Thai food but did not see anything that was suitable on the lunch menu. The server conceded that , due to limited customers, the food choices has shortened the menu. I asked for her suggestion and followed her tip with a nice spicy lunch called "Vandaloo "I believe. It was very tasty and not too spicy. I would order it again. Others in my group had appetizers and steak and were equally impressed. I caution though, prices have gone up since I last ate here. But you get good value.
