Good chicken surrounded by a crispy, but totally tasteless coating. KFC still wins in the flavor category. It's a shame KFC's quality control and service have fallen so low, because Popeye's is not a viable alternative. Couldn't finish my lunch order - it just wasn't good enough to keep shoveling it in.
It was alright. Food was hot and fresh and its a bit different then the run of the mill KFC. Interesting combo variations make it a new experience compared to other fast food joints. Worth a try.
The food was fine, but the service is awful at this location. We stood and watched as EIGHT orders after ours were filled before we got our food. (it appeared that they forgot us) Then we had to ask for condiments, and gave up waiting for them because staff couldn't find them. No apologies for any of this, by the way. The order was slightly wrong, as well, they included a spicy chicken finger in my order of regular. Will not return.
My husband and I enjoy Popeye's chicken very much, but I just have to add that this particular location is fantastic! The service is friendly and the food seems to go above what we normally enjoy at Popeye's.
