Royal Thai Cuisine - Barrie

My family has been protecting Royal Thai since its opening. Many years ago I wrote my first review of Royal Thai Cuisine. My opinion has changed since the management has changed. I can't recommend it now. The part... sizes are becoming smaller and smaller and prices have risen. The service is slower and they are more deorganized. Yesterday evening, after we hesitate to order an online order (in the hope that things would have improved) and get notification that we would pick up at a certain time, I went from Royal Thai Cuisine. I came to stand in a series of very annoyed males, all indicating that they were unhappy when the restaurant was very late to pick up their orders. I was told that they called the phone number when orders are ready to take away. After waiting patiently 20 minutes after the pick-up period expires, I went to the counter and asked when our order would be ready. They told me that my OR did NOT run in the YOUR SYSTEM! I was very upset, but didn't let her know how I was afraid I would say something unhappy. But I told my wife on the way home that I would stop in another place to pick up on a drive-dru window. She called the staff at Royal Thai and she was told that they were our order REFUSED because they were TOO BUSY! They said they sent me a refuse email (it turns out a few minutes after I had successfully placed our order, which I confirmed when I came home). However, I did not bring my phone to pick up the order, so there was no way to get the Or Refusal notification. My question is... Why do you keep running the online ordering app and allow people to place orders AFTER was made the management decision to stop orders? There is no excuse for laziness and lack of customer concerns. Too bad for you, the management of Royal Thai. I can see why they are listed as a sale.

Staff unfriendly, have no desire to keep business. Food looks like dog food, bland and visually inconspicuous.

I would highly recommend the Royal Thai in Barrie. Portion size is large and quality of food is excellent. The selection made this restaurant a great place to eat. 3 meat eaters, 2 vegans and 1 vegetarians were all happy with the menu....all was delicious! In addition, the staff is very courteous and friendly despite a 5-star experience.

Especially the restaurant is very unique and attractive with the whole green growing. The staff is friendly and efficient. The owner is often in the restaurant and will go out his way to welcome you and ensure that your meal is perfect. He knows his customers by name that's always a nice touch. The food is fantastic. My daughter lives in Kitchener and loves to come here to enjoy the great menu choices and the freshness of any choice. I can't say enough good things about the Royal Thai restaurant. Try it and see yourself.

My son-in-law, Mike, placed an online order. I paid with MasterCard. Trouble was they weren't open. I phoned MC who couldn't do anything until the charge was posted. Boxing Day, Mike gets an email saying the order was cancelled. All well and good until he...got another email that same day saying the order was processed. I checked my MC account today, the 27th, and sure enough, the $100.17 was posted to my account. I called MC to dispute it. MC reimbursed me and are forwarding the claim to MC International. I would never NEVER order from this restaurant ever EVER again. We got great Thai food that night from Chaopaya and is highly recommended.
