Great to be back where parts are considerable and the service is great. Thanks to the team that makes our meals so pleasant.

This is New Year Eve, I wanted a nice dinner, I ordered 1/2 ribs, frits, engraving and 5 pieces wings. I never got my fried!!!! The ribs............ for 1/2 ribs it was a very small part and the top of the ribs was so... well, it was like leather, even my dog crocheted on a piece. Not only that, my order came so fast that I knew that the ribs were sitting somewhere dry and hard just waiting for a delivery order. I have noticed that most of the time when you actually get to the restaurant, you get a better meal than when you have delivered it! Go to Mary Browns for meals and supplies.

I have to admit that the Bayfield, Barrie, flagship location goes the extra mile. The decor / reno from 5 years ago is brilliant and rustic stylish with high ceilings. Trudy, a 40-year-old veteran server, is simply great and a pleasure to chat with. The plates are...big, you get a few napkins and even the warm water bowl with lemon to clean your sticky fingers. The food is consistently reliable and tasty and quickly came from the kitchen. This place has won me over as it is in this situation for every 40 years!!

I made an online order for the Bayfield Barrie site a few months ago I was surprised that it completely changed management and personnel that would have been fine. I decided to try the fish and I paid and ordered for 2... people. They only accused me for a dinner and when I left, I had to reorder another so that they cooked another one and it must have been at least 50 minutes, I went back and they haven't been ready yet, nor did they come out to tell me. So when it was finished 40 minutes later, it was hard like eating string and the staff didn't seem to speak English either. Now I was regular, but if the staff is still so, I will not return. After all, I paid the full price without apology! I'm sorry I'm not going to be back because nobody interested in all A complete turnaround employee from the bubbly hard working Canadian staff who spoke English communication was very important for them and eager to please!

29 October 2021 For the third time I have been left waiting more than 45 minutes past the time provided on the app when I placed my order for my food to be ready. This is unacceptable. The excuse of We 're busy doesn 't wash. When...I visit the Pick-Up counter and can see inside the restaurant where there are only 15-20 patrons seated at tables, how can you be so busy that you cannot fill a Take-Out order within 5-10 minutes of the time scheduled by your own app? If I was a diner inside your establishment, would you expect me to wait for 45 minutes to have my meal served after I place my order? Of course not. And yet you continuously expect Take-Out orders to wait well beyond any reasonable timeframe to collect their meals. We have waited more than 2 hours for a home delivery. Note that our house is literally 2 blocks from the restaurant. On that occasion, Swiss Chalet paid for our meals. Fine. But then, less than 2 months later, we waited 1.5 hours again for delivery. Now, last night, a Pick-Up order which was placed because of the history of ridiculously long delivery times, was also late. After waiting 30 minutes in the curbside pick up area, I ventured inside, only to be told it would be another 10-15 minutes before my meal was ready. Unacceptable. So thank you, Swiss Chalet on Bayfield Street in Barrie, for destroying your company 's reputation. I am DONE with this restaurant, and will no longer be ordering from Swiss Chalet. A shame, really, because I do like the food, but the service leaves a far too bitter aftertaste in the mouth.
