Heard great things but did not think it was great. Stale bun - nice staff but so-so food.. restaurant is clean and washrooms are good. They are trying but the food is not that good
For us, Barrie is not home. It is a stop at Costco for gas and groceries on the way to the cottage. Now, the Burger's Priest is our second reason to stop. The California Classic is the best cheeseburger I have ever eaten! Like any gourmet burger restaurant, the BP is pricey, but well worth it. The burger is flavourful and juicy, but I think what makes the distinct difference is the buttered bun toasted on the griddle. I am posting this review 5 hours later, still smiling over that lunch! It will become a habit! (pun wasn't intended, really)
I have a dairy allergy so was unable to eat the burgers as they put butter on the grill and buns. I had the French Fries. They were average fries. Burgers looked and smelled good. There was a line up and the restaurant was full.
Okay, so the burgers are "Ok" but so over-priced for their size and quality cannot give a better ranking. Buns are something like out of the discount value section of the grocery store, portions are small, nothing looks or tastes particularly fresh. Fries - needed a fork because they were just bits and pieces - no fry longer than 2 inches, most less than an inch. Again, if prices were 60% of what they are then okay. But for the prices they are charging this place is a complete rip-off. For the money you should expect way more, way fresher, way better prepared, way faster. The seating is also horrible...some big stools in a row on long narrow tables. We were a group of 7 so wasn't room but put together a row of tiny tables sitting on little stools with no backs. We felt like were in kindgarten at the kiddie table. the table not even wide enough for a tray for each person sitting opposite each other...and their trays are smaller than typical fast food burger places.Would not go back, would not recommend. so one of the guys had a burger, an order of fries and a small milkshake. Before tax it was $15 or so. There are so many better places and such better meals to be had for $15. Avoid this place...lots of hype but does NOT deliver.
