I don't usually write reviews, but I feel I have to say something. 1. We had very unfriendly staff. Two people were trained so I gave them the advantage of doubt. My latte was great and my salad was delicious. I decided to mutate the unfriendly staff a few weeks later, because they might have only a bad day. During my 2nd visit, I was met again with such unfriendly and unprofessional staff that I was actually shocked. (Swearing on each other and the machine right in front of me no greeting no smile no thanks or a good day etc.) My food was great again, but I can't help, but wonder if the good food is worth the unfriendly staff. The third time maybe a charm?
The bill was overly expensive for a soup and sandwich at $54.58 and we even had to ask for spices from employees who run around like zombies. Even without masks, our info was often repeated. Our soup came first as a side order and not full. The replacement was warm. Very disappointed! John Samuels
We used to have Williams' franchise restaurants in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, Ontario, so we were familiar with this cafe type of restaurant. With Café, I mean, you take your turn in the checkout order what you want from adjacent menu bookings. The postings can... from day to day, so some on a board. Other menu items appear on colorful signs over and behind the checkout. When you order in the checkout, you will give your coffee to your table and a license plate so that an employee can bring the food to your table. We visited Barrie-based Williams today. It's 501 Bryne Drive. If you find the big water tower with Barrie, which is embedded on it, you can find Bryne Drive and this Williams restaurant. There were plenty of parking available when we arrived just before lunch; or, I would expect a lunch in this restaurant. We checked a blackboard and saw the specials of the day. It suggested that when it came to the available quiche, you should ask at the checkout. We asked for quiche and a guy told us it was ham and cheese. We order a ham and cheese quiche $7.00), a chicken caesar wrap with roasted potato wedges $9.00) and because I am using Clam Chowder a small Clam Chowder soup $5.25) We also ordered two coffees at $2.00 each. The guy in the cash register took our money $28.53 overall, including taxes and gave us our coffees that were poured into order. He didn't offer me our reception, but he gave us our badge, number 16. We enjoyed our coffees on a window side table that looks at a part of a near-stretched mael. Our orders came to the table, worn by a friendly server, within 10 minutes. Each of our orders was hot. My Clam Chowder was thick and loaded with seafood and small potato bites as I like it. The Chowder was hot enough that I had to wait for it to be cool and that's a good thing. As I like it! We agreed that the food was well prepared and the environment was clean, including the washrooms, just as you know it). I went back and asked for a reception and the same guy who kindly found our order and printed a double entrance. It is winter now, but when we were gone, I noticed that they have a large terrace area for warmer weather use. We enjoyed our lunch in this Williams and would return there.
Quite possibly one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We stopped here for dinner while traveling through Ontario province. Never again! We ordered and paid in advance for our food and then waited . . . and waited . ..... and waited. Finally one of the waitresses stopped by to explain they had run out of the food for our order, but that the cook had gone to the store to pick up what was needed. She assured us that it would be ready in 10 15 minutes. So, we waited ... and waited, .. and waited. Finally after an hour plus, the food arrived. At no time did anyone offer us something else, or free sodas, or a partial refund. The food was just okay, not hot, and bland. I do not blame the waitress. . . I blame the manager who should have intervened but never spoke to us. If this is a chain restaurant, I will never eat there again.
