Crooklands Cafe - Barrow-in-Furness

I had a strange experience at Charlie's restaurant this time. We arrived at 11:45 and my wife asked for a toasted teacake, but the waitress informed us that it was only available on the breakfast menu. She said she would check if it could be done, but it took a while. When I inquired about the burger, I was told that eggs were not available as it was also part of the breakfast menu. I then asked for soup, but was told that since it was not quite noon yet, the order could not be taken and it wouldn't be available until midday. I ended up just having coffee. The teacake eventually arrived, but we had to get our own cutlery as it was self-service, even though the waitress had passed by our table. It was strange that we had to leave our table to find utensils. Overall, it felt like a confusing experience.

The restaurant is stunning with a wide selection of menu options. The food was delicious, generous portion sizes, and affordable. The salt and pepper chips are a must-try! I look forward to returning.

Easy check. do not book group booking. the payment was taken off, but not so lost £130. 10 orders were wrong. drinks from other tables on our bill. bring wrong meal! the food was good and the staff was pleasant. I'd go. back, but not for group booking

Large family birthday group eating was delicious, I had the stack burger and my partner the cajun huh, could not mistake the dishes. some small details with service complement each other to feel the culinary experience a little indecent. it does not seem to be a person who runs the restaurant, so there are employees who run around everywhere because I feel that drinks are taken an old to come when asked, seasoned were missed, garnish with drinks, replacement cutlery for net (if used with starter) bill was not asked. the restaurant, has nice eating, in beautiful environment on beautiful dishes etc., but the service does not fit. the details are important and hope that they will improve when they progress.

Having enjoyed an excellent evening meal here recently we thought we would try the lunchtime menu. So glad we did. The food was excellent. The service quick and friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The Chilli with cheese and chips scrummy. Perotti lager on tap superb. Highly...recommend.
