Contribuisci feedbackWhat a fantastic discovery! The restaurant offers traditional table service with friendly, polite, and efficient female staff. The decor is pleasant and the interior is very clean. We were seated promptly and our food arrived hot with minimal delay. The food was absolutely delicious, showing the skill of a very professional kitchen. It's fantastic to see that it has a 5-star rating. The staff were willing to accommodate any requests we had. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem. I highly recommend this cafe, it's definitely worth a visit. A* rating all around - this has become a new favorite spot for me.
We visited this morning and ordered two Chicken, Brie and Cranberry toasties, which sounded lovely. We also ordered a fresh ground pot of coffee and a pot of tea which came to £16.50 We waited half an hour for the food, but was very disappointed to find we were given Bacon, Brie and Cranberry toasties instead. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the attention of a member of staff to complain and to be honest we couldn’t wait a further 30 minutes for the toasties we had ordered to arrive again as we had an appointment. When we came to pay the member of staff asked what we had ordered, I mentioned what we had ordered and what we had received. The staff member looked at me and said £16.50, no mention of an apology or any other communication. We’ve been regularly for lunches over the years and it’s the first time I’ve been disappointed with the food and the staff.
My son and I have enjoyed lunch at this restaurant a few times. The soup is consistently delicious, as are the toasted sandwiches, regular sandwiches, and jacket potatoes - all made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant is always busy, indicating its popularity. The staff are always friendly and polite. They also offer takeaway options, and I often enjoy a ham and chutney sandwich on granary bread for lunch, which comes with crisps. The homemade scones are also delicious. Overall, it is easily one of the best cafes in the area.
My favourite cafe in Barrow-in-Furness, the staff are really friendly and there is a lot of food options to choose from no matter what your mood. The coffee and the scrumptious home made ginger bread are so tasty!
My friend and I tend to call here for lunch once a month or so. Good service. We generally go for the soup sandwich combo its always lovely. A great little cafe.
