Baymont By Wyndham Barstow Historic Route 66

The pricing was fantastic. The rooms were spotless and well-kept. The exterior was neat and organized. We had access to a microwave, refrigerator, television, hairdryer, and a space for hanging clothes. Additionally, there was a washing machine and dryer available for guests. The city has seen significant growth over the past 40 years.

This place is truly a gem! Willie at the reception was fantastic. I called ahead to confirm that there would be enough space for my truck and 40-foot trailer, and he made sure everything was arranged. He also honored my Wyndham membership and went out of his way to ensure my satisfaction. There was a minor computer issue in the morning, but Maria (the manager) and Dilan (the general manager) handled it effortlessly. The rooms were clean, very quiet, and the beds were comfortable—what more could you ask for? The breakfast could use some improvement, but after speaking with Dilan, I'm confident that it will be addressed soon. And hey, Maria, just a little more smiling would be great! Thanks for a wonderful stay; I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Barstow was a blast! We witnessed some wild happenings during our 24-hour stay. The kids enjoyed hot cocoa and breakfast, and they had a great time swimming in the pool. The reception staff was fantastic. We also had a delicious meal at the nearby restaurant, Los Domingos.

I had to stay here for a night while my truck was repaired. There are about 8 hotels around the truckstops in Barstow, they were all booked. The hotels around the truck stops are quite new, so I didn't want to go to the city of Barstow. I called the Baymont and they had a room. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel was really quiet. I've always been looking for bedbugs at Chicago hotels. I picked up the mattress to look for eggs or the bugs themselves...not even dust! I slept great. The A/C worked great. Overall, I would skip the crowds of Lenwood Rd hotels and stay here again if I ever had to stay in Barstow.

The window didn 't latch properly in both my first and second rooms. I ended up fixing it myself so as not to be relocated again. The staff is nice. Don 't expect hot breakfast as it is listed. The juice dispenser was empty and the selection of high calorie packaged sweet rolls was disappointing. The fridge has mini yogurts and corn dogs, weird.
