Calico Ghost Town Campground - Barstow

This is a fantastic spot for a quick getaway or a road trip. My family and I have visited often, and it's always a wonderful experience! Just today, we encountered some desert rain, which only made the visit even more memorable!

I always wanted to come here and I wasn't disappointed! All staff were friendly and loved their job, a breath of fresh air. Spend a few hours to see all the shops, drive by train, see the mine, visit the secret house and eat in the salon.

Wow! What an awesome place. So full of history and cool things to walk around and see. Definitely bring comfy shoes and a jacket there’s lots to see, the mine was awesome! And the food was solid! Love the history and will come back again.

Really nice place to go with the family! You have tours, railway and gold panning for attractions. Restaurants, candy shop, the Starbucks, candle shop, wood shop, a store with Native American items, many gift shops! Also be ready for a short little walk to overlook the tip Calico Ghost city, so ready to have coins to look through the telescope. Also bring cash because there are cool machines to say about luck, talk guys behind the glass lol, def would come back

We didn't camp here, but we'd like to. Spent the day of exploring the ghost town, but we definitely felt like we wanted to stay longer. Camping would have been ideal. The city and the people who worked there were so friendly and accommodating. The food was so good! I really didn't expect that. My grandson had pizza and the adults had food in the restaurant near the entrance. It was just a Maishund and Hamburger and Pommes, but they were excellent! Soon again!
