Ordered the enchiladas Rojas. I wasn't a fan of the sauce. It lacked flavor. Price was high for what you get.
Just like your grandmother would prepare! Everything is fresh! The salsa is homemade and delightfully chunky! This is the only place you should go for Mexican food while you're in Lenwood!
Don't pass up this spot! The al pastor is incredible, and I had a burrito filled with rice and beans that shows how much care goes into the cooking. The spicy tomatillo salsa is also fantastic. It's definitely worth taking a detour for!
**Food:** As someone who loves cooking and indulging in chilaquiles whenever possible, I was deeply disappointed. In fact, I left almost all of my food uneaten. The chips were soaked in a bland red sauce, and the potatoes were undercooked. I'm sure other patrons might have had a different experience, but today just wasn’t my day. I spent $25 on something I could have easily made at home, and that was the real takeaway for me—sometimes it's not worth being lazy, haha! **Service:** I thought the manager was nice, but I had reservations about the cook, who was on his phone while I waited to order. When I asked if I could have a half-and-half mix of green and red sauce, they said no. That didn’t bother me too much, but when I saw the cook go from handling his phone to adding oil to the grill, it was off-putting. I requested that the waitress ask him to wash his hands before preparing my food, and while she acknowledged me, that seemed to be the end of the matter. Unfortunately, when my meal arrived and I tasted it, I could tell it wasn’t made with any care. After driving 30 minutes to get here and spending a total of $25, I won’t be coming back. Thank you.
