Coming from southern CA, where there's good Mexican food on nearly every street, it's been a struggle finding Mexican food that remotely compares. Which is surprising given the Mexican population is the area. This is the most authentic spot I've found in the RFV and highly recommend it. I had the carnitas tacos and chicken quesadilla.

This is the real deal. Extremely good Mexican food in small little strip mall by the movie theater. All original all tortas are excellent, wonderful mole imported from DF, the Birra de chivo (goat stew) incredible savory brick red melt in your mouth, consume de borrego (sheep stew) is clear w chick peas and again melt in your mouth. Where can you find those in Colorado? The owner/chef is incredibly proud (as he should be) of his specials. His chili mix is ridiculous as all his house made condiments. This is real Mexican food.
