Safran Zunft - Basel

We have been at Safran Zunft to visit the location for an upcoming company event. The location is really nice. However, we had dinner at the restaurant. Not convincing at all. I have had Hirsch (venison) taggliata. The size is disappointing (120-150g max), it was red center but overall cold, the same with the vegi accompanying it. The three sauces served: sauce béarnaise was excellent, chimi churri with no taste at all and the third one, kind of ketchup a matter of taste. Overall disappointing.

We really enjoyed our evening meal, starting with Prosecco cocktails. We all went for mains only the deer and cod which were delicious. The fantastic puddings to follow did not disappoint. Good service If a little slow by UK standards. Whilst the room we were on was ok we had thought we might be in the grand setting as displayed on the Trip Advisor post.

War wieder mal zum Essen dort und hab es sehr genossen. Das Menue war sehr gut der war Fisch gut Gemüse war durch und knackig, Salat war auch sehr gut!

Wir waren mit 2 Kindern zum Abendessen und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war sehr gut und der Empfang sehr Freundlich . Auch das Servicepersonal war freundlich und ging auf die Wünsche ein . Ich hab mir schon fürs nächste mal ein Tisch reserviert!
