Sandoase - Basel-Stadt, Switzerland

Although we was surprised by a heavy storm, we spent a very good time in sandoase. the snack is nice and the mood and ambiance is unique for basel. pure holiday-feeling. the bar is located close to the rhine river at the port of basel. you‘ll have a beautiful view to the french side and the passerelle des trois pays, connecting huningue and weil am rhein. sandoase is a bit outside the city, you will have to walk but it’s worth it.

Nice place, nice view. I strongly recommend you to book a table in advance. The burgers are really good, the starters too.

My friends and I decided to book a table at Chalet during the Winterdorf opening. First of all, after having arrived, our reservation was not on the list...then the service was very bad, and at the end we had to pay for a dish we did not even order. It all made us leave this place with a terrible feeling.

Brilliantly situated at the crossing of three countries. France, Switzerland and Germany. Staff and food are excellent and also the atmosphere breathes the relaxed feel of the Mediterranean. Highly recommended for a pleasant night out!
