China City Chinese Takeaway - Basildon

Used to go to China city whenever I ordered Chinese haven’t had it for atleast a year so thought I’d order. I am shocked at how much it’s gone downhill! The crispy chilli beef was really dry and almost broke my teeth because of how hard it was… salt and pepper chips no salt! Absolutely disgusting, will not be going back!

I've used them for years on a regular basis. Its Friday I understand they will be busy o get this but after waiting an hour and quarter to call them back to ask where it is the lad said another half hour... I give them the benefit of the doubt and after 2 hours still nothing. I asked to speak to the manager and got greeted by the most rude and sarcastic woman I have ever spoken to. If they stated at the beginning there was going to a 2 hour wait i would just ordered from elsewhere but the lies are not acceptable. They was obviously short on drivers too as the guy said the food was ready and waiting for the driver to collect. They did offer a £5 discount but that didn't interest us. Our kids have been waiting patiently. Dont lie to customers Disgusting behaviour.

My family had a takeaway from this 'Chinese ' and I will make this very simple, my 17 year old Son could have done a better job and he has never cooked in his life!!! Save your money and go elsewhere, burnt food and sloppy cheap short cuts ie special fried rice was boiled rice with a couple of prawns and a couple of slices of meat? Disgusting and will never return

Always a good meal and delivery is always quicker than they say so that's always a good thing, Don't think we have had a bad meal from here

TRIED TO ORDER!! As we do every month and now they say they don't deliver to my area but deliver to the end of the road, So yet another customer they have lost!
