Beach Arms - Basingstoke and Deane

The roast at this restaurant was fantastic as always. Knowing how busy it can get on Sundays, I made sure to book a table in advance. The highlight of any carvery is the delicious and fresh hot vegetables, which did not disappoint during today's visit. It was a pleasant surprise to see Brussels sprouts making a comeback just in time for Christmas. The staff were attentive and took good care of us, they truly are a wonderful group. I will definitely be returning soon.

Going to the Beach Arms for a family celebration is much simpler than cooking at home for 15 people! Once again, they did not disappoint. The kids enjoyed the new burger selections, while the older crowd stuck with the traditional roast. The staff was attentive and the prices were still reasonable.

My partner and I visited the pub for the first time and it will be our last. The customer service in the restaurant was very poor and we were not informed on how to order food or how the Sunday roasts worked. I ordered the vegetarian chicken roast and it was extremely disappointing. I was served 2 quorn chicken fillets that looked very dry and had clearly been reheated in the microwave. The buffet section of the food was cold, the roast potatoes were undercooked, the other vegetables lacked flavor, and there were no parsnips. I would give the roast a 2/10 rating.

Very substandard roast and awful service. I don’t recommend you eat here, you’ll be very disappointed! A really poor experience and total waste of money.
