Charlie's Cafe - Basingstoke and Deane

Stopped here on the road for breakfast and it couldn't have been better. There's parking right outside and the service is really efficient. Fry ups are graded by size so pick which reflects your appetite! An ideal stop for travellers, yum.

Interesting location and parking!! Clearly hits the mark with its regulars as can get very busy at times. Hence a bit of a wait for your order. Great to see an independent cafe doing what it does best. There seemed to be a good selection of baguettes and other meals on offer at reasonable prices. My own breakfast was substantial and whilst it wouldn 't win any awards for presentation ticked a lot of boxes. The only minor gripe I had, was the sausages were of the 'Richmond variety ' which I 'm not a huge fan of. It 's not a place to impress your loved one, but there are clearly a lot of happy customers. Tables were being cleaned regularly, a nice touch! I wish it well.

Great breakfast. Everything I wanted on the plate and a decent cup of coffee to go with it. Recommended.
