Fish N Chickn - Basingstoke and Deane

When fishnchickn first opened and for a good few months afterwards they were excellent. The last couple of times we have been there they have been incredibly stingy with the chips! At least half of the original portion size. Tonight 2 other orders were serviced before ours as the staff “forgot” my specially cooked item. We shall not be returning there unless service and portion size improves. Reading other reviews leads me to believe we are not alone here

I have been on a gluten free diet for 10+ years, this is the best gluten free fish and chips I have had. Accredited by the coeliac society too. Big portions and reasonably priced. I will be back.

Tiny piece of cod, dry chips and overpriced. Staff a bit rude. I wouldn’t recommend this chip shop. Been good maybe a year ago but now it’s going down hill.

Decided to grab a quick lunch after travelling. Bought the Senior fish and chips that we've had in the past and were pleased with. Sadly we were very disappointed. We only had a 5 min drive home but the food was cold. The portion of fish had to be a child's portion. I've had more fish in a couple of fish fingers! The batter was very thick and soggy,the few chips tasteless. Definitely will not be returning!

Can’t fault this chippy Fish is always cooked well, only fault we did have this time round was the chips were slightly under cooked and a few ‘green’ ones yuck! Needless to say this hasn’t put us off our cheeky takeaway now and then
