Sands - Basingstoke and Deane

Our starters, main courses, and desserts were all superbly prepared and presented. After our meal, we were surprised with a bottle of Champagne and two glasses, accompanied by white roses to continue our celebration. It was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. I want to give a special shoutout to our waitress, HANNAH, who was exceptional, as well as to Alex, the restaurant manager, who orchestrated the surprises. Thank you to the entire staff at Sands and to the chef for making our evening so memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or for a lovely evening out in a beautiful setting.

We have had lunch and dinner at this restaurant several times since restrictions were lifted, allowing us to dine in. It was nice to finally be able to eat out again, but we were disappointed to find that the food was served on cold plates and some dishes were not cooked properly, such as the pink chicken. The service was also not up to par, despite their attempt to make up for the cold food with coffee. We will not be returning to dine here unless we hear that improvements have been made.

The food was excellent, drinks were good, and the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. There are many windows offering views of the golf course, which I enjoyed. My wife is in a wheelchair and we found nearby parking, as well as a good elevator that took us to the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is all on one level and has spacious areas, including an open area where you can relax, have a meal, or watch the golf. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with the wheelchair. I would give this restaurant close to a perfect 5-star rating.

This was our first time dining at Bishopswood, and it certainly won't be our last. We had made a reservation for a group of 4 for Sunday dinner, and our experience was fantastic. Becky, who took our reservation, was very pleasant and also served us alongside a young man who I believe was new. We felt very welcome, which was wonderful. The food was delicious and generously portioned, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was impeccable and at a good pace, and the ambiance was cozy with no loud music, and a friendly welcome from the local patrons. The drink prices were very reasonable. We can't wait for summer to come so we can sit on the terrace! We will definitely be returning.

I wanted to organize a lunch for around 25/30 people to celebrate our Golden Wedding Day. We searched for local restaurants and came across an advertisement for the Sands Restaurant at the Bishopswood Golf Club in Tadley. We reached out and met with the manager, Jennie. Jennie was extremely helpful and presented us with three menu options, reassuring us that these were just suggestions and could be customized. We settled on a menu and confirmed the number of guests. We met with Jennie again to finalize the menu choices and discuss the table layout. Shortly after, we provided Jennie with the guest list and their menu selections, along with our seating plan. On the day of the event, the waitstaff knew where each guest was seated and what menu options they had chosen. The service was efficient, the staff was polite and attentive. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. The service and food quality truly made our golden anniversary celebration special. I highly recommend the Sands Restaurant.
