If you visiting Bastia and want to find a nice and friendly restaurant for dinner or lunch, I really recommend heading to the Place du Marche , this market place (during the Sundays only), is the trendy and fashionable square for locals and visitors and have...a large selection of bars and restaurants. La Vinoteca di u Merca is one of them, with a gorgeous shaded terrace, this inexpensive restaurant as good selection of french, Corsican and Italian dishes and of course tasty local wines.
It was excellent, the meal was great, we had Loup au Four, Brochette Boeue,Calamahs, Fiadone. We enjoyed it a lot, it was open before 7PM, good homemade bread, personal service.
They were friendly and the location is nice.the food was not bad not great!!!i don't really have something to say more .we were a family of three and we had the saltmibocca, the prawns,a steak a risotto and a salad.we tok 2 desserts and payed 140e...with 2 cokes,.
Simply bad. I ate a saltimbocca that was tasteless, and my companion's salad was even worse? Tinned ham? For a salad priced 14EUR? Pic another place, there are lot's of them in Bastia even if this had a nice setting at le place Marché.
