Just had lunch there. Went with a woman from Beijing who lives in Sydney 's Chinatown. She was going to have an opinion! The staff were very friendly and my Chinese friend rated the food well. She said the beef with black bean sauce matched the offerings in Beijing - possibly a little more salty than most. The vegetables with a Sichwan sauce were just right. We saw the shopkeeper next door return his plate on a tray with a broad grin on his face. Highly recommended!
The choices in the menu have expanded and to our absolute delight tried a new dish which surpassed all my expectations. Nice atmosphere as they have moved to larger premises but not lost the ambience. The owners & chef are always ensuring your happy
Don't go here if you are not white. Rudest waitresses ever. Started withe the young waitress making it a chore just to serve you when we asked for cutlery and chopsticks dare to have both as you will be frowned on. The water that was served was warm on a very stinking hot day this was just straight from the tap. It got better with the older waitress in her sixties talking to a customer at the counter about foreigners/immigrants coming to Australia and committing crime and how bad they are funny to say this in a Chinese restaurant that employs you. My eight year old son got a great lesson in racism at its best seen that his father is an immigrant and mum is an Australian. We would have walked out if not for our order already had been taken. Remember lady it is us immigrants that keep you employed in a country town that depends on tourism. The food was ok nothing to rave about as our entree came way after the main course was served again no serving spoons for the meals. I will not be going here again and suggest the owners need to get better staff as I will be spreading the word to family and friends not to go here.
We all had Chinese the Saturday night and it was delish, Salt and pepper king prawns sweet and sour pork, snag choy bow, amongst other dishes including rice dishes, the Fried Dim Sims are worth the money as I could have made a meal just by itself with sweet and sour sauce but we all went buffet style and shared the meal. I noticed the prawn dishes had gone up and when I asked the waitress she said they had to charge $2 extra due to prawns shortage. Anyhow, we all had a nice meal and it was very filling. I did notice that all the other prices had gone up since my last meal there and I'm sure it hadn't been that long ago. I found 2 menu's which had 2 different prices and the one in the Restaurant was different again. Is it because of Christmas?
