Dixieland Barbeque - Batesville

I am a regular customer and have never had anything but good service and delicious meals. I often pick up bbq or ribs to take to folks as a gift. I really like their smoked chopped chicken over lettuce. They slice fresh vegetables and add an egg decoratively around it which makes a beautiful presentation.

What a find! OMW! This is a TINY place where there are no interior seats and only four, immobile, four tables outside. The brisket has been boiled for perfection, added to large pieces with BBQ sauce, so if you do not want the sauce, or want it on the side, say so when you order. The baked beans were well included pig for the interested. The potato salad was too tasty for my taste, but it would not stop me from ordering it again, and mix it with some beans to cut the tango of the potato salad. The building is clean, and the grounds around the restaurant are also.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn on the street looking for a good place to eat. Dixieland matched the bill and had really good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Some have mentioned a waiting, but that seems because they place the food fresh. I loved that when I went to the drive-dru window I drove past the smoker and it smelled amazing. I have the comb plate with sausage, pork, beans and potato salad. The meats were excellent and I prefer the sausage without the intended sauce they put on the side. The potato salad was great, but the beans had slightly heavy onion taste. I'll make this a regular stop for me when I visit my client here.

Always amazing!!!! Can't get enough. Ordered a lot of food yesterday and just wanted up some pulled pork today, still great the next day.

The food at Dixieland is always fantastic and the staff are even sweeter. I couldn't recommend a better restaurant.
