Hudson Grill

Went for our anniversary and as we approached, we could smell the lovely flame grill. The building is beautiful, sophistication paired with traditional which is very true to Bath on a whole. Was sat behind the door downstairs which was a bit disappointing as we didn’t really have a view and got the draft of people coming in and out. Would have been good to have a nicer table for our wedding anniversary. The wine selection was really great and the one recommended for my choice of steak was lovely. The steak was beautiful and most definitely the star of the show. Not the very very best I’ve had but up there with some I’ve paid A LOT more from. Perfectly cooked with a subtle flame grill flavour. Thoroughly enjoyed, I’ll definitely return!

Really nice steak house just outside of the town. Steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were very tasty. The severs were also really friendly as well. It might be an idea to state there's a optional service charge on the menu, only negative.

Although a taxi may be required £7.00 from the centre it’s well worth the effort as it’s a Resturant that lives up to all expectations from the minute you step in the door of this small establishment The decor is smart and the place clean and well cared for The staff are outstandingly friendly and efficient and then there’s the food sublime steaks cooked to perfection on hot plates that’s always a clear indicator Would highly recommend a visit and will most certainly be doing so myself Congratulations to the team at Hudsons my wife, daughter and I had a great time

I skipped the starter and went straight to the main course. I have been to this restaurant a few times before and always left satisfied with the food and service. However, on this particular evening, my meal was disappointing. The service was reflected in the small tip I left on the table. The steak lacked flavor and seasoning, as did the vegetables. The potato dish was overly peppery, indicating that it may have been reheated from Saturday. The dessert, which was listed as the pudding menu, came with canned strawberries and an unidentified green substance. There was no cheese option available. Overall, the meal was very average to poor on this occasion.

Superb restaurant. Everything about our experience was flawless: the service was very good with friendly and helpful staff, the atmosphere is relaxed but dining experience sophisticated, and the food was simply fantastic. The steaks are cooked to perfection and you have to have their truffle chips!
