The service at this restaurant was very good, but the food took an hour and ten minutes to arrive after we placed our order, which is not acceptable for a tapas restaurant. The staff kept saying the manager was coming to talk to us, but he never did, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. The meal itself was decent, but the slow service and lack of communication really detracted from the overall experience. The one redeeming factor was that they ended up giving us a free bottle of wine, which was a nice gesture, but unfortunately it was corked.
The food and cocktails were good. the service was quite poor. the food took one because to come, and for some reason they have always eaten and brought drinks to other tables and things that we have not ordered to ours.
My wife and I have gedimt regularly in this restaurant since 2007, so we are particularly disappointed in this opportunity with the standard of eating. the chorzo we ordered was served with the shell where it was very difficult to eat. the tortilla was served cold instead of hot, which is the norm. the tapas drops seem to be getting smaller and smaller. all in all, a very disappointing experience after a pleasant visit at the theater.
The restaurant service we received was probably one of the worst I have ever experienced! We arrived at 8 and shortly after our waitress took our order, but forgot to put it through. We waited for an hour without any drinks or starters! When our order was finally put through, our starters and mains came out at the same time after 45 minutes, with not enough room on the table. The waitress also forgot to take our dessert order at the beginning, and after our mains, she informed us that two desserts on the set menu were sold out. It took an additional 20 minutes to sort out the dessert situation. When we were ready to pay, she took one card payment and then started taking another table's payment, leaving us waiting to pay the rest. The whole experience was unprofessional and disorganized. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. The food was average, and I could have gone to another tapas place with better quality food. We also witnessed the waitress making mistakes with orders at the table next to us, which put us in an irritated mood.
