Brilliant food at affordable prices and the deserts and cakes were amazing. Definitely suggest you go here

It's always a challenge to find a good place for breakfast in a country town during your first visit, especially, when it's -5 outside and you don't have many options available at 8 am on Sunday. Royal Society Cafe was our choice that morning. We were serviced by a young male waiter - very polite, fast and pleasant service. The menu had good breakfast options: from porridge to spaghetti bolognese - kids and wife were happy, so was I with my eggs+salmon. The order was served extremely quickly - might be the fastest in Australia, straight after we got drinks - food came on the table. I suggest you come in earlier at about 8, so you can get all the attention and have a choice of seats as after 9 on Sunday cafe was fully occupied - I wouldn't recommend sitting outside when it's -5 :)

Had a real selection of food between us. Korean fried chicken, poached eggs and tea and coffee. Very nice art deco style. Helpful and friendly staff.

The cafe was full and our group (3 x families) arrived. They could not have been more accomodating. The food was great and quick. Great value- highly recommend.

The service in this cafe was utterly appalling - totally nonresponsive and seemingly provided by staff with little or no experience of hospitality. This was a huge pity because the food was great, and a table out the front in the winter sun was a perfectly pleasant place to sit for an hour or so. However, service is too important for us to ever consider returning. A huge disappointment.
