Stumpy's on Stewart - Bathurst

I have been a long time customer at this place and have always been impressed by fantastic food, second to none service and minimal waiting time for meals even when super busy.It appears to have been taken over, renovated and lost its mojo.Been waiting half a life time, no friendly faces of previous staff, still no food 1 hr later and no real hope to receive it in the next hour either despite choosing to eat late to avoid peak hour.Menu is skeleton compared to previously and they ran out of food for most of the reduced number of menu options.Fish, ribs, steak or schnitzel . No lamb cutlets, chicken breast. The kids menu is not on the main menu and you have to approach the bar and wait in a line to access it.They moved the counter to the front bar, so you are all queuing around the front door, around people eating, instead of where the counter used to be, out of the way of diners. Poor decision.Disappointed to say the least, don't think we will be back.. might need to stalk where the previous chef went!

Great stop for a cheap pub meal. Area for children to play, bar and bistro. Lunch and dinner specials and not just your normal run of the mill on offer.

5 of us ate a variety of meals here and were not disappointed , had the burger, Ribs and pasta's between us and everyone was happy.

A nice menu and well cooked and presented meal. The chicken dishes were very good especially the bundy chicken

We started off our dining experience at this restaurant by taking advantage of their loyalty program with the Ben Chifley Motor Inn, where we were staying. By simply showing our room key, we were able to receive a complimentary drink, which was a great way to kick off our evening. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly lady who escorted us to our table and explained the ordering process. As we perused the menu, we were impressed by the size and presentation of the dishes being served to other diners. When our food arrived promptly, we were delighted with the quality and taste. I ordered crumbed cutlets with vegetables, and everything was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Our overall experience was flawless, with exceptional service. I would gladly recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
