Another Broken Egg - Baton Rouge

The patty sausage they serve is just nasty. The taste and texture are like a weird spiced hamburger patty. The grits are so inconsistent; sometimes great, sometimes just coagulated and lumpy. Eggs and biscuit was ok, but I think the biscuit was reheated from yesterday. Disappointing as hell.

Everything was so cold. Items were missing from order. My egg was the size of a golf ball and the same shape. Not great

Fancy and delicious. It's expensive but the food quality is great.

Absolutely delicious breakfast and/or brunching place. I had the Lobster Omelette and City Grits, and I will definitely come back to order this again. The service was on the spot. Waitress gave us some free Beignets to be their last table. It was very sweet both the treats and the waitress).

UPDATE: we have recently returned to this place twice since my last review. 15 July this time the food was really good. Grids were not dry at all. Cream and great consistency. The bacon was crispy and tasty as usual. Eggs were freshly produced. You're wrong with my husband's orders, but he didn't complain. What they send out was good. Previous review: We often broken egg often. Nola location mostly for JAHRE. Citiplace location we were here a few times... usually 4 or 5 stars. NOTE Everything was dry or burned. Host was friendly and we sat fast as it wasn't busy at all... so I couldn't understand how the food wasn't fresh. I don't know what was worse. The grottos that even 5 tablets of butter would not help the burned toast. Everyone was dry. It looked like the grottos were sitting in the bowl for some time. The eggs were dry so I tried to put butter on them, but they were not warm enough to melt the butter at all. Bacon was good and literally the only thing on our plate that was not screwed on. We never send food again unless we decided to go, but unfortunately time did not allow. If we had time and had no children with us, we would have left.
