It looked like processed meat of some kind and it tasted terrible. They must have gotten in frozen meat or something but it was absolutely atrocious. It was supercalifragilistic expial-atrocious. It was disgusting. The only good thing about the meat was that my dog absolutely loved it. Can 't say much about the service or ambiance 'cause I took it to go but I was sooooooo looking forward to putting my teeth into some steak. Not a good Mexican restaurant. I always see a lot of cars in the lot but they must be employee parking. I 'll stick with my other Mexican restaurants that are more authentic. Some workers that work there looked authentically Mexican but the cooks must be from Rhode Island. Not good, not good at all.
Good Food and Service as usual. Has the best queso in the city and i have always enjoyed this place with my family. Never too packed and never really had to wait long for a table. You can watch the game and have a few margaritas. Drinks could be stronger,,, but could always just double up lol. Definitely coming back
I've been here a few times and have also ordered to go from them. My boyfriend insists that the sangria margaritas are the best here and I find that the margaritas on the rocks are good. Usually I'll get fajitas and they are pretty good and the complimentary chips and salsa are a good start to the meal. Service has always been consistently good. Recently I got the fajita nachos to go. They looked different than I expected but the fajita meat was delicious and it had just the right amount of cheese on it. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try.
Stopped by Los Reyes on a rainy evening with my mom for dinner. This place is seriously cute. Looks like you walked into a tourist trap in Mexico. Lol. I like that though... If I'm eating tacos I want to be surrounded by sombreros while listening to mariachi music!!We were greeted by our waiter who was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable!! The menu is large with everything you can think of. They bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table... Their salsa is very good. We also ordered a bean dip to munch on. It was very good as well.. beans topped with white cheese and chopped jalapenos! I ordered flautas for my meal and was not disappointed! I really like this place. It's more TexMex than traditional Mexican but I prefer TexMex so that is a plus for me!
Wife and I ate here on 10/27/23 for the first time. It was a darn good decision. Finally found a Mexican Restaurant in Baton Rouge that has really good tasting food. Forget about Superior Grill and La Carretta, to me the food was way better at Los Reyes Mexican Grill. I had the combo plate El Mejor. The Enchiladas were super good. They were not dry like other places. They were well seasoned. The tamale was delicious as was the chicken burrito and the beef taco. Our waitress was great! The wife enjoyed her dish also. We are making this our number one restaurant for Mexican food. Location is good, right there on Coursey Blvd.
