Elaine's Bake Shop, located directly on Euclid in Bay City, is one of several good bakeries in the area. The inviting smell of freshly baked goods greets you as soon as you walk in, and there are plenty of pre-purchased items ready for pickup. The counter is filled with a variety of donuts, cookies, and other baked treats. One standout item is their delicious old-fashioned sour cream donut, which is a personal favorite of mine. However, after multiple visits, my only complaint would be about the service. The staff behind the counter are not very friendly or helpful, and a little more friendliness and knowledge about the products would go a long way. When asking about the taste or type of a particular item, I would expect more than just a one-word answer.

Great value for the price! You must try the "more squealer" dish, which is reminiscent of a cinnamon roll with three slices of crispy bacon on top. Delicious!
