We came to this spot (by the way it 's called American Standard . I think the bar/restaurant change the name. This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It 's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren 't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute. The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect. The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It 's very causal.
Now American Standard, this place Is what's happening in Bay Shore. Great food, cocktails, music and vibe. A must visit!
I didn't know the place closed... and I was still able to book a reservation. And they confirmed multiple ways. Showed up and doors are closed. Take your restaurant off of open table please.
We made our reservation through Open Table. It was confirmed and we got a reminder the day before. We arrived at the restaurant at the correct day and time and the restaurant was closed. Not a good thing!!! We have been to this restaurant many times and love everything about it. But, this was a bad experience. We had eleven people and we had to find a new place to eat just by going door to door.
We had a great afternoon for St. Patrick's day here. The bartenders were on top of everything and the food was delicious
