Fine cuisine and warm welcome, very good restaurant
Very expensive, small special menus, amalgams of the Franco-Asian cuisine not attractive and fine.
The gifts from the kitchen were tastefully and beautifully presented. For appetizers my wife and I had fresh oysters that were great; my sister had an appetizer of artichoke and smoked aale in a tasteless broth; the whole court was Blande. Our main courses were Guinea-Fowl and black bass-return (when cooked correctly) lacked sufficient spice and taste. We understood that the chef holds Asian influences and aromas – prohaps he was from the city.
We are tourists to Bayeux and wanted to share a special dinner. This exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent just the right level of attention. The courses were well taken. We ate from the Savour menu with the wine pairings and loved every dish. We have tried new foods (artichoke and eel lasagna)? Amazing) and thought each bite was better than the last. Dessert (daisy chocolate dish) was very special. Maybe the best dessert course I've ever had. The wine pairings were made exceptionally good. We thought we had a good meal. But we were treated an extraordinary one. The price would have been reasonable if it had been double what we would have paid. We cannot recommend this restaurant more than we do. A special culinary experience. Thank you.
