The Coffee Merchant - BAYFIELD

The best crazy coffee in the county La Plata. They use Cuvee coffee roasted for perfection, never bitter. I'm sensitive to how coffee is roasted, either by acid reflux or it just makes me jittery without energy/focus boost. Cuvee coffee is really roasted that I get a smooth energy no jitter and no acid reflux reaction. The staff and owners are the best and absolutely creepy so that they do not want to see to begin your day. They are fast to serve customers, there is always a line because they are so good. You have reward programs if you call it that. If you store your coffee case and get stamp on it, 10 stamps are a free coffee drink of choice. Even if you preload a gift card with $25, you will receive a free drink with it. The prices are average, but not like some cafes where you ask what else could come with the drink that costs more than your lunch.

We stayed at the campsite @Valliceto resivor and we drove to our daughter in Alamosa, when our atv trailer from the hitch in Bayfield, right in front of the Bayfield Pharmacy and across the street from the Coffee Merchant. We were a bit devastated, we thought we would have to overthrow our followers and rent something to make it safe to our destination when this sweet lady came across the street with two very big strawberry smoothes. She just said you look like you could use a leak and hand over a little bit of heaven to my husband and me on a hot day. Thank you for your kindness, you were such a blessing when we found ourselves in a jam! I wish you many sweet return!!

The chai latte is amazing! The beautiful ladies are very friendly and make the morning better! They were also so sweet, my dog was as many treats as she wanted! You rock ladies! I love to support small businesses!!!!

The service is fast, and from what I had so far, the products were wonderful.

I just adore Penny and Becky! Their bright smiles and awesome personalities make a bad day much better. The coffee is amazing and they have great muffins, sandwiches, and burritos! My favorite spot in Bayfield!
